(I make 4 cents more if you

I wrote this song about a year ago for a movie, thought that it
would work out, but after editing, it didn't quite fit.
I felt the song was just too beautiful to let sit in limbo.
I really wanted to do something with it, so I decided to make
it a single, available for digital release only (you can't get
it on cd).
It was recorded in June at a friends studio, Mr. Robbie Cribbs.
He has a little place here on Whidbey Island, way up in the woods,
he calls it SOUND
TRAP STUDIOS. Over all I had a lot of fun working with him.
He's very patient, as I tend to get very critical of my work when
I am recording, asking often, "do you think we could try that
just one more time?", even though he thought I had just done it
perfectly.

mixing the song with Robbie
The song itself is a country tune, very simple but beautiful,
just guitar and vocals. It's got a Johnny Cash-ish vibe,
but with really nice harmonies. It's a song about longing,
about loving someone whom you are not able to be with any more,
about not being able to get that person out of your mind, and
about leaving it all behind.
I was fortunate enough to work with an incredible artist by the
name of AMY
WALKER, who sang with me. Her voice is like butter,
and in my opinion, made the song feel complete. She's doing
quite well for herself, has a video on youtube called 21
Accents that has something like 6-7 million views, and has
also cut a record with Jack White entitled Discourse
on Accents.

Amy Walker
I went up to Robbie's studio at something like 9 in the morning,
layed down a guitar track, and then did my lead vocal part before
lunch. We mixed the two together, just before Amy showed
up to lay down her vocal part. Then we did a final mix and
walla!, what you hear is what you get. Like I said, real
simple but beautiful.
I hope you take the time to check it out, and if it's to your
liking, add it to your collection. Your support is what
funds my future projects.
Also, if you purchase the song, leave feedback, it's what generates
intrest and pushes the skeptics over the edge if they can't make
up their minds.
Thanks
Levi
